Cane / Rattan Pole

Pole furniture is made using large diameter Rattan poles.

The Poles are stripped of their skin and are heated by steam or flame and bent into the shape required. When cool, the Rattan pole holds its shape and the individual pieces are assembled into the final item of furniture.

Rattan Pole Furniture usually has Wicker Weave panels applied purely for decorative purposes.

Once constructed, the furniture is then sealed and sanded to a smooth finish and then stained and lacquered to the desired colour.

MAINTENANCE: Regular dusting with a soft damp cloth or vacuuming with a brush attachment is recommended to maintain your Rattan / Wicker Furniture. Any spill on the frame should be wiped off immediately with a damp cloth or sponge and a mild detergent.
